ABOUT MELISSA

Born and raised in Timmins, Ontario, Melissa Kelly is a graduate of the Intensive Teacher Training Program at Canada's National Ballet School. She began dancing at the tender age of five, and at the end of her training in Timmins, she obtained her teaching certificate with The Society of Russian Ballet. She is now the Society's representative for Northern Ontario. At NBS, she obtained her l.S.T.D National Dance and Cecchetti ballet teaching certifications, as well as a mark of distinction on her diploma from The National Ballet School. Melissa also trained with one of Toronto's finest hip hop and tap artists, Shawn Byfield. She also undertook Latin classes in order to add diversity to her training. Towards the end of her studies in Toronto, she also obtained her Full-Membership certification with the C.D.T.A. The intense three year program allowed her to study in direct relation with professional dance artists. Dancers and teachers from all over the world attend this school and it produces only the finest dance educators in North America. With seventeen years of dance training, Melissa continues to pursue her passion by bringing her expanded knowledge to the . Northern community of Timmins. She ensures the highest quality of dance training to all who love to dance!
